Patrick D. O’Neil
Mr. Patrick D. O’Neil graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Government. He spent three years working as a newspaper reporter in Southern California before starting his own freelance photography business. His work ultimately led him to take on media projects for an international medical group, documenting their clinics in developing nations in Africa and the Caribbean. These projects triggered a desire to be more involved as a participant in the story rather than just the storyteller.
In 2011, Mr. O’Neil returned home to Northern California to attend Santa Clara University School of Law. As a law student, Mr. O’Neil spent time as a Judicial Intern with Santa Clara County Superior Court, assisting victims of domestic violence with their court cases; he also spent time working for the Northern California Innocence Project where he earned the CALI Award for his casework that aided in the exoneration of a wrongfully convicted inmate. After graduating in 2014, Mr. O’Neil spent time working with a solo family law practitioner before joining Hoover Krepelka in 2016 as an associate.
On most weekends he can be found escaping to the real life Shangri La that is Yosemite Valley or any other location in California that has premium rock to climb. When the rain hits or the game is too-big-to-miss, Mr. O’Neil is quite fanatical about our Bay Area sports teams: Giants. Warriors. Sharks. Niners.
